FTP Problems

ok im a real noob at using FTP, so can you guys help me

So i uploaded a pic over in my ISP FTP right, into the public_html folder.

and when i try to open
ftp://tinyvini@homepages.slingshot....ic_html/122.JPG
It Just gives me an error page

but if i try to open
ftp://tinyvini:xxxxxx@homepages.sli...ic_html/122.JPG

xxxx-= my slingshot password

the picture opens, why's that ??? i Want the picture to be accessed by everyone and not have my ISP password displayed.

Can anyone help me out.

and also is it possible to change the ftp into a http as some forums dont allow FTP Picture URL imaging

Does your ISP provide you with webspace aswell? They probably don't have anon ftp.

well they do have a 5mb Webhosting thing, so im assuming i can store pictures and stuff in there as well.

Did you try the http uri for the homepage? Maybe it will look something like :
http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~tinyvini/122.JPG

[edit]Indeed it is! I just clicked on the link and it's what the page says. Reupload the image (via FTP) and try to access it with a browser just like in the link above.[/edit]
