For those who haven't noticed, I'm working on a beginner's programming book. It not only gives an intro to programming but also teaches the Python programming language.

I've only just started on it but I hope to have it more or less done by Xmas. I currently have 7 initial draft chapters completed and linked on the blog. The drafts are all posted to Google Docs.

I'm looking for people to read it and provide input so I can improve it. Whether you're a seasoned programmer or a neo-phyte, your comments are welcome. It doesn't matter whether you know Python or not, since it's geared towards people with no programming experience and to encourage current programmers to add Python to their list of skills.

Based on feedback, I may eventually publish the book in dead-tree format, but right now I think an ebook is cheaper (obviously) and easier to update. However, I know from personal experience that having a physical book to look at can be a lot easier when learning something like programming. So I'll see what happens.
