What is the best place to buy computer stuff?

Where do you guys shop? Have you ever had to return something and had great service with no lip??

Who's got the best prices? Customer service?

I'm gonna build a system soon.....

Thx

Well, I live half way across the world from you... so I don't know what people normally do there. However what I prefer is to shop some place close by to where my PC is going to be ESPECIALLY if it's something I built (by buying the parts).

Why? If something doesn't jive with some other part, you don't have to stress yourself driving half way across town just for the guy to flip a jumper or something silly like that...

I agree when I buy motherboards or CPUs I try to shop close if you have a computer direct there I'm not sure if there nation wide or not maybe just local. But in my town that’s not always easy as I'm in the country and even computer direct is a good 20 min drive for me. But I would also suggest Amazon.com I have done business with them for years and haven't had a problem from them although I'm sure that not the case with everyone. I also do business with Tccompuers.com and Outpost.com. I would suggest if you can shop locally but if there isn't anything around you or the prices there in some of the local stores are to high you could try these site I have always gotten good service from them.

sorry, I should realize now upon rereading my original post that I didn't specify an online site

Thanks pcxgamer for the website suggestions. I hadn't considered Amazon for pc guts. I have used buy.com and also outpost years ago.

Anyone else? Any other great online sites for mobos, cpus, RAM, etc..?

Crucial.com is probably a good choice for RAM and other memory products.

When you have somewhat of an idea of what you want, then goto these sites and search for price comparison. Usually, the price is what matters. If someone says they are selling Product X, and someone else says they are selling Product X, most likely they are selling Product X. Yes you need to be careful- I do know the follow listings below are trustworthy.

http://hardcorecooling.us
http://computerbrain.com
http://pricewatch.com
http://newegg.com
http://outpost.com
http://yesbuy.net

If you have an idea of what you want, post the info here and I will be more than happy to help price shop for ya.

Hi, Bobby. I don't know if your offer was for anyone or not, but I thought I might ask and see .

I want a toy that is rather out of my price range right now, but it is coming down in price. It is an Maudio Firewire 410. If you happen across one, I would be curious to see what kind of price you are finding...

Thanks

Maudio Firewire 410? Can you give me some more details about this. Also, is this the exact product name?
