Server is not listening on default portHi all,
I am a newbie. I installed Apache HTTP server on a machine. I then went to the bin directory and started the Apache server (I did not install it to run as a service). Now when I tried to go to my default html page (index.html) from a different machine I find that I have to specify the port # of 8080 after the IP address of that machine on which it is running. If I simply put the IP address only then it does not go to the default home page. Does anyone know how I can this? How I can make it go straight to the home page without specifying the port # of 8080? Is there some configuration file that I have to change? Thanks in advance for any help. |
