GIDForums Search w/ Google

Interesting setup with the search on here. I remember hearing that the search engine uses google's search engine to display the results in the default search engine. [At least that is how I interpurated it]

One complaint though.
When a user clicks on 'Search' it opens up a new window that lets you enter a keyword/phrase and click 'Go'. However, this search method brings you to the google site, and does not use the search engine here.

If you click on advanced search, it will use the search engine here.

Maybe have it do the same when a user enters the keywords/phrases inside the text box that appears when you click on search. Have it use the search form here and not automatically taken to google's search results.

Or... Rewrite the search engine to take the google results, and display them inside an iframe so that people will still be on the gidforums.com site, and not google.com.

Impossible to do... things will stay this way.

If someone wants to use the script's search engine, they will figure out what to do rather quickly.

Once we get back the FRESH tags for the site, searches off Google will be more accurate and more up-to-date.

Besides, I found out quite by accident that by doing this, I have in my hands a crude SEO tool as well; e.g. I KNOW that Google STILL hasn't crawled about 70-80 existing threads here and that the last time Googlebot visited was probably on the 2nd of February.
