First post and newbie.
So I accidentally ran Detect and Repair while in MS Excel 2003. I am running MS Office XP Professional. Now the file PRO.MSI cannot be found and Excel will not open. (When I attempt to open excel, it goes to Windows installer.) I cannot reinstall excel as I do not have my CD anymore.

How can I take care of this problem? Is there a way to "reverse" the detect and repair? After I click cancel on the installation (b/c the pro.msi file cannot be found) the message states Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. Check your connection to the network, or CD-Rom drive. For other potential solution to this problem, see c:\Program files\Microsoft Office10\1033\setup.hlp.

I would prefer to not reinstall if not necessary. I just want my excel to work again.
