Running External XApplication inside a FLTK Window

I was wondering if anyone has previously tried or got anywhere near to what i needed to achieve

Need to create a normal FL_WIndow which contains another custom widget ( could possibly be another FL_Window) And this custom widget /window need to contain within it a External XApplication (eg . xclock) .

Its possible to execute this xclock app using a fork and exec after the Window is launched .
Also its possible to make it a child of a window using XLib calls such as XReparentWindow.
But the problem is to make the Window contain this XApplication .
Is this possible ? Any ideas ?
