Apache - problems using PHP outside the intranet

Hi.
I'm running Apache 2.0.44 and PHP 4.3.1 on a WinXP machine.

I don't understand the problem myself - perhaps someone knows it:
The system is running very stable and there are no errors (also with large php sessions, for example webmail with imap), as long as I'm calling the php-document inside the intranet.
If I call the server on the global IP I own (194.95.224.154), everything works fine, until I call a PHP-document - sometimes its working, sometimes I get a "Document not found" message.
You can see it on the onlineshop, I implemented in 194.95.224.154
The Mainwindow uses many php-commands, crashes very often, but sometimes loads. I don't know, why I can see the page without problems, when surfing inside the intranet to 192.168.1.100 (the internal IP for our server).

Is there a misconfiguration in the apache config? We use a hardware Router and Firewall - but it is configured, to route every http request Port 80 to the internal Server-IP, I think theres no problem.

Perhaps someone has an idea - I would be very pleased.
Thanks, Andi.

I think PHP is crashing on something..

did you tried using the latest stabel release from www.php.net ?
but it also could be apache, but then you will see error messages in your logs

Sometimes there are errormessages (AcceptEx failed) in Apache log. I don't know why it only happens when calling from outside the intranet...

Could it be a problem with the hardware-router?

JdS will become famous soon enough
I am glad you came back to offer some feedback; I also never had much luck installing and getting things to work with Apache 2 on my Windows machine. It works flawlessly on Linux but NOT Windows.

Maybe we need someone who has ACTUALLY got it all setup on a Windows Machine to explain what we're obviously missing...

PHP is still not stable on Apache2.

It does get better every day.

But when people ask about apache2 and PHP it's still
"Not stable"

I had Apache2 and PHP running on Windows 98 without problems, I think XP and HyperThreating are the problem..

I would be very grateful to hear if the problem you guys are talking about has any relevance to my issue. First, let me say that I am running windows XP with apache 2.0 and php (I'm running phpbb) on my home pc.

The setup seems totally stable, and I've got about 20 users up and running on the board. But there have been several instances where a potential user follows the link I have given them to the site and their browser times out. No amount of having them cut and paste or manually type in the link seems to help, but other people can get in just fine at the same time.

The problem seems to happen only for people who are trying to sign in from work. So I'm thinking there may be some kind of strange corporate firewall issue going on. Does this ring a bell? Are there any tweaks I can do on my server that will make it easier to get in?
