How to change the size of the picture while using vfw?

Dear all

I am writing a software in VC++ and I have problems using vfw, basically the size of the image totally depends on the webcam that I am using, for most of the webcams it is 320x240 but I have tested a webcam which gives me 640x480. I think there should be a way to change the size of the image. Can anyone help me?
