cpu= amd duron 950mhz
ram=640megs sdram
sound card=sis730 or sumtin

ok I'm looking up somethings about your motherboard. The next thing is do you have a friend or an store that could test the card in another computer to rule out hardware problems?

yes i did and i now use nvidia tnt 32 megs also made by msi and is very realible card and doesnt give me any trouble

Ok first did you completely remove the old video drivers and restart your computer? You may also what to check your AGP Aperture Size and Fastwrite. Disabled Fastwrite if its enabled both of these setting are in the bios.

i don have either one of these settings in my bios

do you have an Advanced Chipset Features in you bios? This is where this information will be listed or at least it is on mine.

all i have is the advance setup page
