cpu-loser is on a distinguished road

nvidia fx5200 128mb black screen!!


i just bought this card and i have the latest drivers. it works for about 10 mins and then the screen goes black the comp is still on but the screen wont go on untill restarted. i am out of ideas wat it is that makes it do that. plz help

Have you checked your CPU, system, and video card temperatures?

hey did u know it comes with out a fan geez i dint know that i thought the heat sink would be enought to keep it cool i guess not i am lookin for a fan ryte now to see if its the tempreture. and when i chek my temp it only tells me the cpu and the system and the cpu is runnin a little high at 109 and the system is 82f

I would suggest tring to cool the system down a little and see if that helps.

i have stumbled across most hardware related problem but iv never encounter this one, i think the Video Card is faulty, get it replaced.. or try the Video Card on a different computer and see if the same problem happens, if it does the video card stuffed

ok i cooled the system down it helped the black screen but now wen i run warcraft3 the colors flash back and forth and wen the game starts the little people and the textures everything disorts and the comes back to normal and keeps doin that none stop

Does your card allow you to see what temperature it running at? If you right click or the desktop and then go to properties then settings and click on advanced than you should see a tap that has Geforce on it. Click on that, look on the side bar for temperature. I would also check to see if Warcraft 3 has a patch that may address this it might not be your card.

nope no tempreture and now warcraft doesnt have a patch and i used it as an example because diablo 2 has the same problem maybe sumting on my system is enabled that shouldnt be or disabled

Oh well I was hoping that it would be that easy. Ok what type of card is it? we'll start to check the bios settings and see what happens. Also have you tried this card in any other computer to see if it works?

its a nvidia fx5200 128mb made by msi. no i havent i don have another computer in my house. the black screen is gone and now the problem is its all blurry in the game. i cant figure out wat it is maybe the card is faulty but i would like to chek everythin before i return it
