Virtual Hosts

I have some virtual hosts setup with Apache 2.0 runing on windows XP and they are working great. I would like to setup another one with the document root being a shared network folder. Is this possible with Apache? I've tried setting the DocumentRoot to //Computer/SiteFolder, and even mounted the network folder to z: and using that. I know IIS 6.0 does this, but I have a feeling that apache can't. Any ideas.
