I am a 2nd semester student of engineering degree. I have got a c++ project on 'generating a datamatrix barcode for the text entered by the user'. You can say an encoding problem. I have searched a lot but couldn't get the technique or the algorithm explaining how to create a datamatrix image out of a text. Even a small info can be very helpful so please don't hesitate. thanks

Quick googling says http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread26325.html "You can buy the ECC200 specification from ISO".
I didn't spot any explanations or algorithms on the way.
I'm curious why your tutor/teacher/professor didn't provide you with this specification as your assignment sounds like coding practice.
