after reading all your posts and I tried some advices my error was still there. But I found A NEW SOLUTION:

there is a post by CENAPCEVLI
It worked for me!!

Unfortunately it didn't work for me either. I tried it, rebooted,, same thing. I even uninstalled and re-installed Nero and same thing. So I have no clue what to do and have 23 movies that I need to burn.

I can not find "IMAPI CD BURNING COM SERVICE"
I have windows vista. Can somebody help?

It didn't work for me. FYI, my drive is Lite-On LH-20A1P. I've update the firmware to KLOP and it still can not burn DVD. Anybody can help me?

This was absolutly the most simplest and brilliant post I have ever come acrossed, and yes it did solve my pre-existing problem with nero and 8 DVD 4.7 GB disks later. Thank you so much

same here.
I have vista ultimate and nero ver. 8.3.2.1
can't find imapi and have the same error as everyone else here.

is there a solution?
