A beginner


hey ppl,

I'm a beginner to the C world, so i'll need alot of help.
I hope u dnt get frustated with my question.
As starters i need to knw hw can i make a power function and hw 2 square root a function.
e.g. write the followin eq.:
x=b+((b^2)-4*a*c))^(1/2).
plz it's urgent 4 my collage work.

1. Look in your book or class notes or whatever, for math functions

2. Find an on-line reference site such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C_standard_library. There are lots of them. Find one that you like and bookmark it.

3. Do both 1 and 2.

Look up <math.h>, and the functions pow() and sqrt()

You need to do research for <math.h>

Programming requires properly spelled keywords and syntax.

Go to your library and find one you understand and start there.
If it works for you buy it cheap online in a vendors used section.
"The C Programming Language" by Kernighan and Ritchie is an old standard.
Ask your friendly librarian why they don't have it!
