restricting auto indexingWoohoo, my first post!
I have disabled auto indexing for my www directory with Options -Indexing However I would still like to get a directory index if viewed from the localhost. How can change this option for different ip's, hosts, etc? Thanks for any help. |

Hello DannyMeister,
It depends... have you set up any virtual hosts in Apache? I don't know a clever to do this - maybe someone else may offer an idea I hadn't thought about yet. What I am thinking is that you can perhaps allow auto indexing in the virtual host bits for "localhost" - could that work? __________________

Sounds intersting, but I'm new to Apache, having worked with IIS previously. I haven't set up any virtual hosts. Guess I can start researching that.
