i want to make a free webmail server on my own computer.
can any one tell me how to use my computer as webmail server?
how to setup my SMTP server?

What operating system do you run? Windows or Linux? If its the latter, could use sendmail.

I've got this working with Debian Linux r3, Using the default MTA (mail transport agent). Then you need a web server (Apache), php and a webmail client. I used Squirrelmail which manages email using the IMAP protocol, and the UW-imapd to run a local IMAP server.
I also used fetchmail to go collect my email from my various POP3 mailboxes at regular intervals so it is there ready on the server when I log in.

As a webmail server? Your going to need alot / uncapped bandwidth and alot of space to run somthing like that, not to mension it would be slow surfing the internet. I had an FTP server from my compuyter not too loing ago, 5 people online at once downloading 5kb/s was lagging my internet connection even though I have an uncapped 250kb/s+ connection.
