Unable to load any games after BIOS update

I recently solved a problem with my computer crashing by installing an earlier version of BIOS. I am very pleased with the new stability of my system. I rebuilt the computer and yet, everytime I try and load game software: e.g. UT2003 and Homeworld2 - I get the BSOD which advises me to disable BIOS Caching and Shadowing. I disabled BIOS Caching to no effect and there is no option for shadowing.

Now that I have a stable system I am not keen on mucking around with the different version of BIOS.

Is there any advice anyone might have to any simple changes that can get my games running again.

When I flashed my BIOS - the flash tool told me that the latestversion had not been loaded. So I then tried an earlier version with the same result. But when I rebooted my computer - I noticed that the BIOS had updated with the last BIOS version I had flashed - an earlier version - but it worked. I am reluctant to lose my computer that works so well now - I had over a year of my computer freezing constantly, but I am tempted to try again with a later BIOS - I just don't want to lose this working computer.

I understand but I think that the game problem you are having is due to the old BIOS.

I just knew you'd say that... Maybe I'll get that new M/B yoiu suggested on the other thread - I'm not sure if I dare mess around with the BIOS again. We'll see.

Well of course the choice is all yours. But I personally think if your able to buy a new MB that may be the best option. Even if you do get your BIOS updated you'll still only have a 4X AGP.
