You cannot run a file that did not successfully compile or link.

All C programs need a main() function. That's how the system knows where to start running the program.

What you probably have here is a set of functions you can compile into your program, adding functionality to the program you write.

CPP / C++ / C Code:
#define XYSSL_MD5_C

int md5_self_test(int verbose);

int main()
{
    md5_self_test(1);
    return 0;
}

LInk with the other stuff.

Output:
Code:
MD5 test #1: passed MD5 test #2: passed MD5 test #3: passed MD5 test #4: passed MD5 test #5: passed MD5 test #6: passed MD5 test #7: passed

Look on http://xyssl.org/ For example: http://xyssl.org/code/examples/hash/hello/

This example gives the md5 hash of "Hello, world!"
Code:
MD5('Hello, world!') = 6cd3556deb0da54bca060b4c39479839

I mean, after all, where did you get the source that you posted? See footnote.
