hey fellas thank u 4 ur time. i have W vista on me and wanna know what free good c editors and c compilers i can get and where???

In future posts, please take a look at the (fairly brief) guidelines to maximize response(s) -- especially when you start posting code.

The editor would fall in the category of: "what-you-find-to-be-the-best-you-like". However, since you are new, it might be nice to find one that can also highlight the syntax [keywords of the language] for you, and many of them do these days.

but as to free compilers, there are many:
A unix-like environment for Windows: gcc, part of Cygwin. Note that this tool can compile nearly everything, including C++, Java, and more. Plus, it also contains many editors: vi, emacs, etc.

I'll start with these. Maybe others will provide more suggestion(s).
