Help me choose my new CPUHi guyz
i'm confused in choosing between 1)AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400 2)Intel Pentium D 930 Presler 3.0GHz 2 x 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 3)Intel core2duo 1.8GHz/2MB L2 Cache so any help would be appreciated Thanks |

Re: Help me choose my new CPUWhat do you plan on doing? Games, video editing, web browsing and email, etc.? If you're not doing anything intensive, then just get the cheapest one. If you're doing processor heavy things, then you need to determine which one fits your needs best.
Right now Intel chips work better on certain tasks vs. AMD but the next gen AMD chips (due out in the next few months) are supposed to fix that problem. __________________

Re: Help me choose my new CPUI agree with crystalattice, you don't NEED the most powerful processor you can find today. Recently, I had to build a new computer for myself and I'll tell you, if they were still selling Pentium 4 processors, I would have bought it!
I don't play games on my PC, so I know a Pentium 4 would do just fine. |
