UPDATE: May have found an answer to this question. I plan on trying it out soon, and creating a custom error page if it works out.

Interesting... I must admit that it looks like the most appropriate way to do a re-direct when you rename files / pages e.g.
I'll try to remember this when I update www.desilva.biz , since my plans require me to change page names yet again  __________________
