Sorry to sound like a 'stick-in-the-mud' and that picture is quite funny and all but hopefully, you will NEVER read a reply like that around these parts; at least NOT from me.

I don't think there's any such thing as a dumb question PLUS this is a discussion board where readers should be able to discuss.

I personally hate it when newbies on other message boards get hassled by regulars, seniors and sometimes even admins and moderators - just because a question they (the newbies) are asking has been asked many times before. This is why I don't believe in 'sticky' threads filled up with links and such on a given subject. Also why you'd never see me post "RTFM at www.php.net" inside any of my replies...

If a question has been asked many times before, one has a clear choice, either reply with a link to an existing thread (being helpful) or ignore it (leaving it to someone else with the patience to reply a solution someday).

Hehe. Its just a joke. When I used to know little about boards, I would always ask an easy to find question. Usually a simple search on google would reveal the correct answer (sometimes even on the forum), but I never thought of it until a couple years ago. In fact, sometimes when people ask me a question I just goto google and find the answer their.

I think there are many dumb questions out there- just everyone's opinion of a question asked could be different.

Do you watch the simpsons in Malaysia?

I know you were joking Bobby... but it seemed like a good idea to say that at the time.

Simpsons are on everyday at 18:30hrs I think - I watch it sometimes. Homer cracks me up most of the time... "Doh!"

Your answer to that question J is EXACTLY the reason that I enjoy this board so much. I'm proud to be a part of this community. It really gets to me when a newbie asks a question only to be replied to with hostility after all we were all newbies at one point or another. Sometimes I just don't understand, I'm always told that it’s because the admins are so busy and I understand that there's a lot to do. But then they take the time to bash the newbie but wouldn't it take just about the same amount of time to answer the question. Oh well I remember my first few days on the forums and I was really over extremely pleased to found that this was the attitude here. I was always told the same thing there is no stupid questions just stupid question or people I've heard both.

On a side note I like that image a really like the Simpson’s. I've been watching them since there first season.
