short answer NO.
long answer, probably yes but then u'd have to be a VERY good hacker and at least belong to a group who 'shares' these kinds of information (which i doubt u will find, just anywhere on the web!). but just like anything else on the web; if u try hard (and long) enough almost anything can be cracked. __________________

MSN Messenger is used to send you a trojan, from there they can get into your hotmail account and take over your PC. The reason they want access to your account is so they can use messenger to pass on the file containing the trojan to people on your contacts list. Had a few friends caught out like this but not for quite a while so maybe there are new security features to prevent it.
Be very careful about accepting files via messenger. BTW. I think the trojan is called sub7 but i might be wrong about that. |

With all the bad press that Microsoft has when it comes to hacking, it's likely that they'll have every precaution in place.
If you ever want to hack into hotmail/ decrypt sensitive data/ break into secure buildings, always to for the weakest link, which today is the people who work there or use the service. If you can talk & be persuasive & lie a bit, the average person will cough up a lot more than an email password. I've heard of stories of buildings being burgled, where there were no signs of forced entry. Then a secretary revealed how an employee had phoned her posing as a collegue &asked her for her identity PIN, because he had forgotton his own. She gave it willingly! There was a hotmail scam a while back where an email supposedly from hotmail (email headers were doctored) asked everyone to send them their passwords, as a server had broken down. Many people fell for it. And from then on their account was used for spam & the password was changed on it so they couldn't log in. Dictionary attacks are also common, as people seldom have alpha-numeric passwords & go for easy phrases & words. Software for this is easily available if you know where to look (and I'm not going to say where either). A system admin friend of mine once tested it out on his companies network, and 60% of the users passwords were found within 12 hours. So the lesson for us all is, have strong paswords with random characters (uppercase & lowercase) and numbers. And don't be an idiot & give out sensitive info over the phone. Garth Farley |

The reason I'm asking is because we are supposed to get married soon. I'm beginning to suspect he's been conversing with an old girlfriend of his. He gets real defensive when I mention her, so of course, red flags everywhere. I just wanted to know so I could spare myself the expense of a wedding and future grief if he is still in contact with her (which he swears he's not) but there are just too many things that are not adding up.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about hacking or anything of that sort. I've tried to figure out his email password, but cant come up with nothing at all. I've looked on sites on the net, again, nothing, I've tried a few things and they didnt work. I was only going to use it to gain info, let him know what I found (If I did indeed find anything-which I'd be willing to bet I will) and confront him with it. Thats it. No doubt once he knows I got into his email, he will change his password, but by then it wont matter, I'd have had my answers. I dont have access to his house, so I cant put a logger on his computer so I'm kinda stuck here. |

Try his password question
That worked with me once when I wanted to get in. I would say that is "the weakest link" __________________
