Re: webhostingbuzz.com

Semi-dedicated is just another name for a shared hosting plan, it's just that you you have more guaranteed resources than on a shared account. I' в say it's a middle stage between a shared and VPS plan. But I'm sure you can get all the info about the plan on webhostingbuzz.com site. Good luck!

Re: webhostingbuzz.com

There are some points where semi-dedicated is definitely better than VPS, first of all, it's managed unlike VPS plans where you often have to administer your part of the server.
VPS however is the option when you need custom configuration or custom software.
So, if you decide to go with webhostingbuzz.com and buy their semi-dedi, the next step to upgrade should be their dedicated plan.

Re: webhostingbuzz.com

Webhostingbuzz.com say they allow 40 accounts on the server where they have semi-dedicated plans.

Semi-dedicated (previously called Ultimate hosting) addresses this in 2 ways:

A limit of 40 users per server – only 40 clients are hosted per semi-dedicated server. This guarantees users higher amounts of CPU and memory resources, when they need it.
Extreme specification servers – dual core dual processors, 4GB of RAM, RAID hard drives and our unique software tuning.

I guess with these server specificationd 40 accounts on the server is quite ok.

Having only 40 users on one server ... hm ... it's really nice. I guess this info about Webhostingbuzz.com's semi-dedi can be viewed on Whois web-site or somewhere else. Right?

Semi-dedi is surely better than shared web hosting. For 40 visitors - yes, it'll be good. Morover, www.webhostingbuzz.comhas Special Offers

$99.75 for 3 months prepay (Save $5.25 or 5%)
$189 for 6 months prepay (Save $21.00 or 10%)
$357 for 12 months prepay (Save $63.00 or 15%)

Re: webhostingbuzz.com

How much CPU is guaranteed on each semi-dedicated account? That's the question I would ask webhostingbuzz.com.

IMO you should always look what are your hosting requirments and accordingly select the hosting package.Hosting companies do not have any issues in providing any particular plan that you need.

Re: webhostingbuzz.com

Semi-dedicated hosting from WebHostingBuzz.com is designed with the power user in mind. Shared hosting just doesn't cut it for some websites; those that demand high CPU and memory allocations will probably have struggled with shared hosting in the past. And they also backup this package with a 99.9% uptime guarantee for your peace of mind.

Re: webhostingbuzz.com

Webhostingbuzz.com pricing is always competitive. Unlike many of their competitors, they never raise prices. Infact, throughout their 5 years of business they have upgraded their offerings a number of times and have made these upgrades available to existing customers as well.
