dual 22' screens problemI just picked up my 2nd 22" screen and currently experiencing a display setting problem.
I have the option to select the native resolution of 1680x1050 on the display settings however this causes the primary screen to cut off areas of the desktop which can only be seen if i move my mouse to those areas. (connected to the vga slot) the second 22" screen is running fine.(connected to the dvi slot) i've rotated 3 different 22" lcd's amongst the 2 dvi/vga slots and it seems to only happen on the vga slot. I've tried googling but came up with squat. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? The new 22" screen placed a 17" screen which ran without any display problems. The video card im running is ati Radeon 9600. latest drivers and vid card and monitor have been installed. thanks!! |

Re: dual 22' screens problemHi...
Well what I could try and suggest for you to do would be to download Ultramon (Just google it) then try and change the display setting for each monitor there... It should by right allow you to set the resolution of individual monitors without effecting the other one... |

Re: dual 22' screens problemi've actually tried Ultramon.
the thing is, i can set both screens to 1680x1050, however the second screen has its screencontent chopped off if you know what i mean. the only way to see that content is to push the cursor over towards the edge to bring it into view. |

Re: dual 22' screens problemHow about setting the 17" monitor as the primary monitor... That way when you shift it over to the bigger screen monitor, it should open up either smaller or the proper size?
