Re: Best software for a beginner website builder

I'd recommend Dreamweaver, for me it's the easiest to use. You can easily switch between the design and the code area (or split the screen to show both), which is great when you're learning. If you want, you can start off with the design space first..Cut, paste and work with basic text...then as you go along study how it turns up in the code section.

If you want something free, you can try NVU..it kinda confuses me each time I use that one (only because I'm more used to Dreamweaver), but it's not so bad for something you don't have to pay for.

Re: Best software for a beginner website builder

Any WYSIWYG HTML editor works. They are all the same: dreamweaver, frontpage, expression web, even Visual Web Developer 2005 Express if you have Windows XP Pro, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003.

Re: Best software for a beginner website builder

I started with Dreamviewer. Not bad editor. But don't use it now. Found better one - Codelobster php edition - with highlighting of paired tags and brackets, outocomplete and help on html, php, mysql. Suggest to try it: www.codelobster.com

It's free.

Also Zend is very good editor - it's for php developing, but has all to work with html (www.zend.com)

Re: Best software for a beginner website builder

use dreamweaver for beginning your web site making tour its much easier just tools with no programming or codes.

<html> just save the file as name.html </html>
<ftp>is the file transfer protocol which transfers your webpages from ur computer to the hosting server and which is then viewble to the world by ur web site name </ftp>

Re: Best software for a beginner website builder

I would say that Site Builder and SiteStudio Website Builder would be the best website building software tools for beginners. If you want flexibility and ease than WYSIWYG programs like Dreamweaver or even MS Frontpage would be perfect. Remember, most software programs/tools still contain a bit of a learning curve and if you can study the elements of scripting languages you'll understand the format and have greater control over the look & feel of your design.
