Optimization Software


Hello, I was wondering if any of you have any knowledge of some good tools to use to optimize your system for gaming..

Get some benchmarking programs like Sidsoft, Winstone, etc. They will tell you how your computer compares to others and also show you where your bottlenecks are. Some are free and some are not, so look around before you buy.

Err didn't Sidsoft Create the first Memory Meter used By the Microsoft Corporation in 1995?

I'll look into Winstone Benchmark though, Even though I know very little of what im doing to be honest haha

Sorry, that should have been Sisoft. They make the Sandra diagnostic and benchmarking tool.

You might also want to look at www.tomshardware.com, www.anandtech.com, and maybe www.arstechnica.com. They all have reviews and benchmarks of various components and systems so you can see the tools they use.
