Random is an unknown quantity at this point

Newbie help, please

this project is for my beginning c++ class

I am attempting to save screen output to a text file.
the screen output is created by a series of user defined functions, and i am wondering how i can send the output of those functions to a text file rather than to the screen.

i attempted to create a function that would do this, but so far i have failed to succede.

attached is the programming i have created so far. it was written on the educational version of codewarrior (version 4). it seems to work perfectly except for the problem i have described above.

at the bottom of the attached text file is the data sets i have been using to test my program.

more information on the project can be found at
www.geocities.com
under "project 4"

thank you for your time.
