ibm reinstalling windows xp error

i got a new hard drive and putting it in my ibm (old) laptop. I thought it would fix the problem i was getting a few days ago. it says when i try to install windows xp pro

""a problem has been detected and windows have been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. if this screen appears again, follow these steps:

disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. check your hard drive configuration and check for any update drivers. run chkdsk /f to check for hard drive corruptions, and then restart your computer.

technical information

***stop: 0.00000024 (0x001902fe, 0xfc93766,0xfc937360,0xfc103339d)

*** ntfs.sys-address fc10339d base at fc0a8000,datestamp 41107eea"

any idea?

Re: ibm reinstalling windows xp error

Hello, I have exactly the same issue here, also with an IBM laptop, did you ever resolve the issue? I have tried another drive in the machine and still didn't get anywhere, please let me know if and how you fixed this,

regards
