That's what my mom always says. "Don't let those mean kids give you a hard time, just tell them your mom says you're special." And then a thump to the head from those aforementioned kids.

I have always liked that I was a precursor to the summer of love. Maybe they were celebrating my came-ing. Durn hippies.

Thanks guys, I have had a very enjoyable birthday (with some warm up fishing to celebrate) so far. I do appreciate the sentiment.

You're not late. My celebration is until I get back from fishing for Rockfish (striped bass) out in the bay off of the Maryland coast. Six of us are going out tomorrow morning. I am really looking forward to it as it has been quite a few years since doing something like that.
