Hi. I recently bought a LiteOn DH-20A1P and some Verbatim DVD-r. When i try to burn a .iso image with imgburn i get the following errors:
Power calibration area error
Power calibration area if full
Don't really know what the problem is. Can you help?

The power calibration area is an area in the centre of the CD which the drive uses to calibrate itself before the burn begins. If it fills up that means the drive has made repeated attempts to callibrate itself without success. So either the media is dodgy, which may not be the most likely explanation with a decent brand, or your new drive is dodgy, or perhaps the most likely explanation is that your current power supply unit cannot supply the drive with enough power along with whatever other hardware you have got installed. It the latter is the case, you need a new PSU. Try unplugging some of your existing hardware first. If that cures the problem, you do need a new PSU, otherwise try different media; if neither of those cures the problem try getting the drive serviced.

Hi. I tried an Infiniti DVD-r and it worked with the same iso file. So i must have a dodgy pack of verbatims. Thats annoying. Thanks for reply
