I know this has been asked before, and not sure if to post on the end of it or start a new thread, I have tryed to set a virtual host up using the config that has been listed before, the problem is no matter which config I use the results are the same, in that only the default is being server and not the dir that is required, I'm using open suse 10.2 which has apache 2 in it, I've run the command httpd2-prefork -S to dump the virtual host, to try to work out what is wrong, here are the 2 config files and the dump, please see if any one can work out what the problem is.

I ended using ip and a couple of different settings, I posted my settings.

No-Ip is the best thing for these sort of things, only problem is that you have to buy the domain from them.

Is that expensive?

Open sources must be for that.
