CD Writer Not Detected In Windows 98 OSI have installed 2 Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 98 and MS Windows XP. In Windows XP CD writer is detected, but cd/dvd writer is not detected in Windows 98. How to rectify this problem? CD/DVD Writer model: TSST Corp CDW/DVD SH-M522C. Please help me to rectify this problem.

Re: Cd Writer Not Detected In Win98 OsI couldn't say for sure whether CD writers were on the market when Windows 98 came out or not. If they weren't, then that venerable old operating system isn't going to have drivers for them, and you will have to see if you can download a driver from the manufacturer's website.
