Orange Forest gone bust?

Is anyone else hosted by OrangeForest.

I am having a lot of trouble at the moment and all my help requests are ignored.

Does anyone know if they have gone bust.

They do not offer any telephone support, so once they ignore email messages the user is left stranded.

Does anyone have any news on their current status.

Looking up their domain name (I am guessing the domain is orangeforest.com), I think the last bit in the contact info below is a phone number?

"Does anyone know if they have gone bust."
- Does it matter? "all my help requests are ignored". Sounds like an A++ company to me!!!! Why even hesitate? E-mail them, tell them they have 48 hours to respond before you stop paying for their service. If you paid for a year, figure out the monthly cost you have used up, and tell them you will request for the remaining amount of money left- or you will take legal action.

There are many other inexpensive hosts out there with toll free support. One direction you can go is with IPowerWeb.com. 95.40/year for ok service, and a toll free support line. (They overload their servers way more than they should, and have a decent amount of downtime).

If you are looking for a real professional solution, I would suggest you find a host that charges around $10-15/month. www.hostway.com is awesome. They reply to e-mails within the hour they are sent.

"Does anyone have any news on their current status?"
- Yes, they ignore their client's help requests.

Let me know what you decide to do, we are here to help you though! There are so many hosting companies out there to choose from, there are a lot of shitters who could care less about you after theu have your payment. However, if you want help finding the ones who care, let me know, they usually charge like 10-15/month for their service.

Goodluck!

Just to add. For £12 For A Whole Year, Thats Only £1 A Month I would expect a lot less than slow response to e-mail.

You ask if they are going to bust? My guess would be yes. For every client I have who needs web hosting, your host will need 8. Looking over the website, it doesn't look to me they are too successfull. If they made a decent wage from hosting, they could hire someone to make their website have a more professional look. But.. maybe they just started, if so, they might do ok for a bit. In the long run, they cant compete for hosts who charge $10/month.

Bobby, no need to get hyper with the replies. Skinmorph is already having to deal with this without you rubbing it in.

Remember, it says "friendly" somewhere on the frontpage of this forum, so be nice

Many thanks for your help guys. I probably deserve the sarcasm.

Believe me though, my feelings towards Orange Forest are just as strong as Bobby's!

For the record, I paid a fair bit more than £12 for their service. Support was initially good but gradually dropped off and response times became longer and longer - and eventually stopped.

Time to change. Many thanks

The Internet is full of web hosting horror stories....which is why it is key to do some research before signing up with a provider. Good luck.

I would make a post in webhostingtalk[dot]com because they have a TON of hosts.

Be very careful though. After you think you found a good host, look uip like 50 different posts that host has made, and look at the professionalism given.
