To quail36:
The software that runs this forum is set up to hide url specifics when they are posted by new members (a not unreasonable protective measure, I think). I checked it out and found the tutorial as follows

I hope that this link gets through OK: GloMoSim Tutorial (Maybe I have enough posts that they will let me sneak it in.)

Note to david4u: Thank you for the link. Please keep checking in and please keep trying to help others. It really makes a difference. (It's kind of fun, too.) No one here could help you when you asked a few days ago, and not only did you dig around and find something, you very kindly passed along the information. Good Show!

Regards,

Dave

Re: Glomosim

Yes, I thought as much and that is why I coppied the URL link twice to check if I made a mistake but later realised that it is the website that restricted me from copying links. Thanks for your advice.

I am working on it on my own and see how far I can go first before asking more question on it.

Thanks.

Maybe it was installed as read-only (and with a good reason).

Instead of changing the config.ini of the distribution, why not copy it to another file and make changes to your copy. Then use your file as the argument when you invoke glomosim. That way the original file won't be changed in case you want to go back and start all over again.

I think that is what they mean in the GloMoSim Manual where they say, "The "config.in" file included in the distribution should be the most up-to-date configuration file and used as a template file."

Regards,

Dave
