Manipulating text FilesHi there.
I’m new to C++ and this message board so please go easy on me. I am trying to delete a line in a text file depending upon a string that is embedded on that particular line. I know as much (I think) as that I need to read the text file line by line and miss out the line that I need to delete and then copy what has read back in to file overwriting the original contents. (Please correct me if this is wrong). My problem is that I can read the text file as a whole but I can’t manage to read a single line depending upon a string contained in the line i.e.: Select line where "Chris" is contained. Name1 | Home | Chris | Football; I hope this makes sense. I appreciate all comments as I am trying to learn as much as I can here as I go along. Thanks for reading. Chris |
