I am thinking about buying a Dedicated Server.

I will have the ability to host 50 accounts, with unlimited additional domain per account.

Is anyone interested in doing this with me? I will be running the entire thing. Before I start, I would like to round up a couple of people who NEED a host.

The server will have 20,000MB and 20GB transfer. I WILL NOT oversell this server. If anyone is interested in doing this with me let me know. (It does have personalized nameservers, too)

If nobody is, I think I will buy it within 6 months or so anyways.

That's a great idea Bobby, I was thinking that someday I may just want to do that myself too!

But for now, the bandwidth requirements for this and my other site is not all that intensive to justify moving em to a dedicated box (or even one that I will share with a few others, like in your offer).

You could always offer space in your dedicated server to a few 'established members' off GIDForums™ at a special rate (and if you think they deserve it) if you find that you can afford it?

Well.. How much would you pay a month to start on a new server?

It wouldn't be dedicated just for you though... I don't know how much space/bandwidth you will need, but 2GB of Space, and 20GB of bandwidth should be more than enough for a couple sites around maybe $10/month.

I will match any price though, but I won't buy the server until I know for sure I will have people who want their sites on it.

Maybe Rob will change over. Do you know what host he has?

No, you misunderstood me, I am NOT ready to move... I am utterly content with vilitas.com, besides I don't use much resources to justify being on a dedicated server, even a 'shared' one... yet!

Then there are also other personal things that prevent me from moving away from vilitas.com... just so that it's clear, if I ever go the route of getting my own server one day, I will try to do it via vilitas.com (if they have it available by then).
