Program that counts how many times a series of number appearsI work for a Private Investigator and we go through phone records a lot. I need to know if there is a program out there that counts how many times a certain number appears or series of number, ie., phone numbers. I have to go through these records and count how many times the top 5 phone numbers appear. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can lead me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Re: Program that counts how many times a series of number appearsHow is the data formatted? Different programs require the data in different formats, e.g. comma-separated values, straight text files, database files, etc.
You might be able to just use a spreadsheet and order the numbers sequentially then apply a filter or just count them. __________________
