Error: ServerAdmin takes one argument ...When I install Apache http server 2.2.4 I am asked about the following info:
Network Domain = ? Server Name = ? Administrators E-mail = ? I am on a standalone machine, how can I fill up the above fields? Or can I leave them blank? Anyway, the error I get is: "Syntax error on line 133 of C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2. 2/conf/httpd.conf: ServerAdmin takes one argument, The email address of the server administrator Note the errors or messages above, and press the <ESC> key to exit. 21... " How can I fix it? Thx a lot, D |

Re: Error: ServerAdmin takes one argument ...When I install Apache http server 2.2.4 I am asked about the following info:I typed in nnn, nnn, nnn@nnn.com I later got the same error msg the first time, which is how I found your query. Here's how I fixed it: I opened the httpd.conf file found at C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\conf using notepad. Press ctrl+F and search "serveradmin" The second time it shows up, you'll see home.<your network name> You should change <your network name> to something without any spaces. Using the search function again, find all other instances of that name, and make it the same, spaceless name. That's what I did, and I stopped getting errors... and it worked. Hope that works for you! |
