CDRW dilemma

nooo not again.
heres the problem, i had an Aopen 40X Cdrw and somehow it stopped working..well let me explain.. Bios and Windows detects it, it works fine etc etc, but it doesnt wanna read cds , so i sent it back for warranty and to my suprise got a Aopen 48X Cdrw replacement wooo...

well after using the 48X Cdrw for sometime now (couple of months) i get the same damn problem..it doesnt wanna read cds.

i search the net etc etc for basicly something to help me, but no luck, i even change the drive to PIO modes but still no go...i even did the good ole blow into the drive but still no go .. i think the lens must dirty or something...

i might go and buy the drive cleaner or something in a few days but do you guys have any other ideas i should try ?

The Clearer would be the best way to go I think. But you may what to try this to. In my system I use two CD ROMS one a burner and one just a cheap one I picked up at some hardware store. This way I only use my burner if I'm burning CD. I have found that gives one a longer life. I play a lot of games and when I just used one CD ROM I was going through more than I wanted to. This is just my option it seems o work for me. I've had the same burner now for 5 years and still no problems.
