MSSQL and PHP

Hi, I need some help with with PHP. Im only starting with it now but I do have a very good programming background! MY problem is mostly related with databases. I know you can link it up with mySQL and use mySQL to store data and use all it's(the databases') functionalities. What happens is that I'm making a site but the host doesn't support mySQL, it only supports msSQL. I can't really change host because the site isn't for me, or else I would, so I'll have to live with it. All I want to know is what do I have to change to use msSQL (if I have to change anything!!!) and where I can find a good "crash" tutorial about PHP and msSQL. I haven't really searched very well for it, but if someone could give me some advice on it and give me a good tutorial and maybe even explain some of the basics, I'd be very thakfull.

Thanks, in advance...

Re: MSSQL and PHP

Hello Cristovao,

Honestly, I have absolutely no experience getting Microsoft SQL / MS SQL to work with PHP.

I suppose you could refer to the PHP manual, if you haven't already done that: http://www.php.net/mssql.

Please share with us what you find out. Someday, someone else may be reading this thread seeking the same information.
