Linux installations vary greatly between distributions. Whenever you are asking for help with Linux, make sure to give what distribution you are using. Based on the information you gave, my only guess would be your sata drive not being recognized. Depending upon your distribution, you should be able to give a switch to load a sata driver. You should also figure out your Sata chip. Another thing that may help in diagnosis is to tell exactly at what point the error occured and exactly what happened. Good luck! __________________

What ever, Red Hat 9 does not support SATA. SATA is supported from Fedora 3 and higher. Cent OS is also support SATA. |
