Sprites and Backgrounds


Well, i'm learning Visual Basic 2005 .NET on the university, and i'm thinking on how can i design sprites and backgrounds, not on programming of course, i mean... my objective is to design an Offline RPG, and i want to know how to design sprites and backgrounds, can u recommend me some good methods to do it?

You need to design them yourself or get a designer, to start, you can search web and find many sites offering free sprites and background for games. Site like http://www.gamemaker.nl have lot of resources for game creation.

You can use special tool like game maker to create games easily than in visual basic or flash.
