Re: Big Problem please help! It's quite odd that a fresh install of XP wouldn't see your ethernet nor your modem. The only thing I can think of would be to go to Dell's website on a working machine and acquire the drivers for your ethernet, modem and wireless. Several different wireless solutions are listed for your machine, but your specific wireless solution should be listed somewhere in your documentation. Go to support.dell.com, click on Drivers and Downloads, then either enter the "service tag" (instructions for finding that are listed) or use the dropdown menus, selecting Inspiron in the first and then 6000 in the second. After that, find the drivers you need, download them, put them on a CD or something, transfer them to your lappy and install them. Hopefully that will fix the problem and allow you to access the Internet in some way.
Good luck to you! |
