Virtual server

Hi
I've bought a domain name (polmoreno.com) and I want to know if I can assign it to nameserver of my own. I have a static IP and a router that gives my computers internal IPs (192.168.x.x).

I have an apache server installed in one of my computers (mac os x), so I wonder if there is any way to assing polmoreno.com to my own name server (maybe virtual server?).

I'm pretty new at all of this, so I'd really appreciate some help!

Thanks!

Re: Virtual server

Look at the Apache config file. There's a section where you can assign IP addresses; just tell it where to look for the domain name and map it to your IP. The comments and examples should give you enough information to get it working.

Re: Virtual server

Yay! I already did it!

www.polmoreno.com xD

I assigned the A record to my static IP, and told my router to move all the visits to port 80 to my internal IP
