Please review my new website

Hi,

Been playing around with flat HTML sites for a few years, but just had a go at my first semi-complex site -

http://www.pyrad.com

- Took me a bit to get submit forms & mail to a friend stuff to work.
Please take a look, all feedback welcome - but be gentle, it's my first one

Re: Please review my new website

Gosh, no one has answered in two weeks. Maybe no one can find anything wrong with it!

But, alas! There are 43 HTML errors. Check http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pyrad.com%2F. (The HTML in this forum seems broken, so here's the link: validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pyrad.com%2F. )

And here are a few teeny-weeny details.
  • The link 'tell a friend' at the top of the page includes the space in front of t, which makes the underline extend further than it should.
  • The pyramid with the eye in your logo has a bunch of bright white dots in the shadow immediately to the right--somewhat irritating.
  • I don't like the eye. It looks like it came from the back of a US one dollar bill but with the white circle in the middle expanded. The white circle is too big. The gray is too creepy. The ripples look like an old, wrinkled face. Maybe a sensuous lady's eye would work.
  • The space between the first two notes, "The beauty of..." and "You simply buy..", seems bigger than the others--too big.
  • The subject matter and business scheme is vaguely like a pyramid scheme, which would be bad. But then again, it's vaguely like the http://milliondollarhomepage.com/, which was considered very novel. (The HTML in this forum seems broken, so here's the link: milliondollarhomepage.com.)
Oh well, the general layout looks good. Good luck.

Hi Ken,

Glad someone is awake! Thanks for the feedback. I'll look to fix the bits you have pointed out.

I'm aware the HTML is not perfect - it's my first site & I'm still learning best practice etc but I had to start somewhere!

Credit where it's due Kenjackson you have an eye for detail. I didn't notice anything wrong with this site, but that will probably be because of my lack of experience.

I suppose the small text in the logo with the shadow could be a little bit easier to read, but that's it.

Bravo
