Absolute beginner, need help!

Please be patient dude.

Ok. Lets continue where we were in this thread:
http://www.gidforums.com/showthread.php?p=50017

You would've probably installed java in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk\bin
Check whether you have java in that location.

Or just search through your computer for javac.exe, and tell me the location.
For example, if your location is the same as i have, i.e in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk\bin, type this in your command prompt:
set path="C:\Program Files\Java\jdk\bin";
The path is a folder where javac and java are located.

After setting the path, just type javac, and find whether javac is recognized.

That means you didnt download Java Development Kit.
You downloaded just Java Runtime Environment.

Download J2SE or Java Development kit from the website.
