monitor, no displayHP Pavillion MX70. The display has been flickering mildly for a while and now no display at all. I have a loaner monitor, so there is no problem with the feed from the hard drive or graphics card issues. The LED at the power switch constantly indicates "on" (green) and will not shut off. Tried unpluging/pluging and tried leaving it unplugged over night, no change (go figure). Critical failure or simple fix?
Thanks, Jason |

Re: monitor, no displayHow old is it? It could be a problem w/ the electron gun or the high voltage circuits, though judging by the power switch issue it's probably just a problem w/ the power supply itself. It probably requires a maintenance tech to look at it. Might be better off just getting a new monitor since they're getting real cheap.
