usage of personas ?Hey all,
i was wondering if you guys ever used a persona when creating a website? I am now officially studying for some kind of computer science crap, and in a class of "Web Development" i first heard about personas. A persona is an imaginary person you create as an example-client. the persona itself is a story about the imaginary person, very specific information about your persona is given in it, to make your website as customer-friendly as possible. I now have to write 3 personas for a website about gadgets and news stuff. |

Re: usage of personas ?I've heard of personas but not in the context of designing a web site. It makes sense, though I've never used it.

Re: usage of personas ?i had never heard about it before i started taking the class in Web Development, here is a link to some more information:
http://www.redorbit.com/news/technology/261036/designing_a_web_site_for_one_imaginary_persona_that_reflects/?source=r_technology I personally think it is a nice way to see what your future visiors may want/need, but it's a lot of work to do, so i'd rather just start building and use common sence instead. I am now forced to 'creat' 3 personas, which will be almost 2 pages of text... |
